Enjoy the many adventurous activities available here at Montana Mountain. There is something to do in every season and for visitors of all ages and fitness levels.
WINTER ACTIVITIES
TO SKI
The park offers a variety of ski slopes for every level of difficulty. The ski season begins with the first heavy snowfall (usually around mid-November) and usually lasts until mid-March.
CLIMB
Snow climbing is a relatively new and very popular activity in the park. We offer a variety of climbing opportunities and a three-hour climbing course for beginners. Full climbing equipment can be rented from the park's main office.
HELISKI
Our heliski package takes you to our most exciting mountains and hills. This way you can reach even the most remote areas of the park and enjoy a completely individual and exciting ski adventure.
SUMMER ACTIVITIES
RIDE A BIKE
There are hundreds of miles of paved and unpaved riding trails in the park. At higher elevations, expect very strong winds and slippery conditions. Make sure you wear appropriate protective gear.
HIKE
Bring your trekking poles, sturdy shoes and plenty of energy-rich food, because once you start hiking the park's trails, you won't want to stop. All trails are clearly marked according to difficulty level.
THE CAMP
There are over 180 campsites in the park, and demand is high, so book in advance. Developed campsites have basic amenities like running water and toilets, but backcountry sites do not!
ANIMALS
There is an incredible variety of wild animals to discover in the park. You are welcome to take photos of them, but only from a safe distance! Show respect to the wild animals you encounter, as they are at home here.
CANOE TRIPS
Exploring by canoe is one of the most relaxing ways to see the park. Glide leisurely across the water and enjoy the scenery unfolding before you. Canoes and equipment can be rented from two boat shops in the park.
RIDE
Horseback riding has been part of our offering since it was recognized as a national park in 1900. Horses, mules and llamas are allowed on designated trails in the park and contribute to its special atmosphere.
